This Year Precision Collision Auto Body will once again be partnering with Toys for Tots in the effort to collect toys for children in need this Christmas. We will be a drop off location for new, unwrapped toys. Last year we had an incredible turn out, and we hope to make another big impact this Christmas.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF TOYS FOR TOTS
Toys for Tots began as an endeavor to collect toys in the Los Angeles area. United States Marine Corps Major Bill Hicks, saw the difficultly of collecting and distributing a large number of toys and formed the organization Toys for Tots.
Although Toys for Tots started in 1947, it was not launched as a national campaign until 1948. In 1980, Toys for Tots began only collecting new toys. Since 1995, Toys for Tots has been the official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve. As of 2015, over 494 million toys have been collected and distributed to over 230 million children (www.toysfortots.org).
